E-Poster Abstract Submission Guidelines

The Scientific Committee invites the submission of original research, quality improvement projects, clinical audits, case reports, case series, educational innovations, and emergency care initiatives for presentation as E-Posters. Accepted abstracts will be presented electronically during the conference and will be evaluated by a panel of expert reviewers.

Abstract Format

Title

  • Maximum 20 words.
  • Use sentence case.
  • Avoid abbreviations where possible.

Authors

  • List all authors in order of contribution.
  • Include institutional affiliations.
  • Clearly identify the presenting author.

Abstract Body

  • Maximum 300 words (excluding title and authors).

Original Research / Audit / Quality Improvement Projects Use the following headings:

  • Background
  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Case Reports Use the following headings:

  • Introduction
  • Case Description
  • Discussion
  • Learning Points

Submission Requirements

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Work submitted should be original and not previously published in a peer-reviewed journal.
  • Multiple submissions from the same author are permitted.
  • The presenting author must be registered for the conference.
  • Ethical approval details should be included where applicable.
  • Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
  • Generic drug names should be used.
  • E-Poster Specifications will be shared eventually after acceptance of the abstract for
  • presentation at the conference.

Oral Presentations Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Conference registration is compulsory for abstract submission.
  • Only Scientific papers will be considered for Oral Paper Presentation.
  • Case Reports, Case Series & Clinical Audits will be considered for E- Poster only.

Guidelines for Oral Paper Abstract Submission

  • Abstracts should be submitted via the online portal only.
  • An abstract of an Emergency Medicine related scientific research paper can be submitted only if it has not been published previously or has not been presented in any national / state conference.
  • An undertaking that it is an original study must be uploaded along with the abstract & this must be signed by the presenting author & corresponding authors.
  • Abstracts submitted via email will not be accepted.
  • Only one communicating / presenting author will be allowed for each abstract submitted.
  • Communicating / presenting author must provide the organisers with their full mailing address, institution details, and phone numbers for communication.
  • The authors must upload the Institutional Ethical Committee approval certificate at the time of abstract submission.
  • The Research committee reserves the right to determine whether a submission is accepted for Oral Paper presentation or E-Poster presentation & its decision is final.
  • Under exceptional circumstances, if the presenting author is unable to present at the conference, they will be permitted to nominate one of the listed coauthors as the presenting author, who must be a registered delegate. The same must be communicated to the research committee.
  • The guidelines for making the presentations of the E-poster or the Oral presentation would be communicated to the candidates after the result of the abstract submission is published by individual emails along with the presentation date and time.

Abstract Structure for Oral Presentation

  • The title of the study must be brief, concise & in CAPITAL letters.
  • Abstract Title Limit – 30 words
  • Authors & corresponding author names must be mentioned.
  • The Abstract text should have a minimum of 150 words & a maximum of 500 words.
  • A maximum of 1 table can be submitted and each table should only have a maximum of 5 columns & 10 rows.
  • A maximum of one figure can be submitted with the abstract and it should be in the jpg/ bmp / gif format with a maximum of of 350 pixels & 200 KB.
  • Please note that the figures / graphs / tables may be resized to fit the final printed material, which will be given at the conference.
  • Abstracts should have the expected scientific merit.
  • The following subheadings must be provided for original research work: Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
  • Do not include references in the abstract.
  • Do not include keywords in the abstract.
  • Abbreviations should be spelled out, in parenthesis, in its first use in the abstract.
  • Conflict of interests: Authors and co-authors must declare any financial or any other interests of any company in connection with the study.
  • If you have not completed all the required sections and details, your abstract will not be considered for review and will be rejected.
