ORAL PRESENTATION SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Conference registration is compulsory for abstract submission.
  • Only Scientific papers will be considered for Oral Paper Presentation.
  • Case Reports, Case Series & Clinical Audits will be considered for E- Poster only.

Guidelines for Oral Paper Abstract Submission

  • Abstracts should be submitted via the online portal only.
  • An abstract of an Emergency Medicine related scientific research paper can be submitted only if it has not been published previously or has not been presented in any national / state conference.
  • An undertaking that it is an original study must be uploaded along with the abstract & this must be signed by the presenting author & corresponding authors.
  • Abstracts submitted via email will not be accepted.
  • Only one communicating / presenting author will be allowed for each abstract submitted.
  • Communicating / presenting author must provide the organisers with their full mailing address, institution details, and phone numbers for communication.
  • The authors must upload the Institutional Ethical Committee approval certificate at the time of abstract submission, if available. 
  • The Research committee reserves the right to determine whether a submission is accepted for Oral Paper presentation or E-Poster presentation & its decision is final.
  • Under exceptional circumstances, if the presenting author is unable to present at the conference, they will be permitted to nominate one of the listed coauthors as the presenting author, who must be a registered delegate. The same must be communicated to the research committee.
  • The guidelines for making the presentations of the E-poster or the Oral presentation would be communicated to the candidates after the result of the abstract submission is published by individual emails along with the presentation date and time.

Abstract Structure for Oral Presentation

  • The title of the study must be brief, concise & in CAPITAL letters.
  • Abstract Title Limit – 30 words
  • Authors & corresponding author names must be mentioned.
  • The Abstract text should have a minimum of 250 words & a maximum of 650 words.
  • Abstracts should have the expected scientific merit.
  • The following subheadings must be provided for original research work: Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
  • Do not include references in the abstract.
  • Do not include keywords in the abstract.
  • Abbreviations should be spelled out, in parenthesis, in its first use in the abstract.
  • Conflict of interests: Authors and co-authors must declare any financial or any other interests of any company in connection with the study.
  • If you have not completed all the required sections and details, your abstract will not be considered for review and will be rejected.

e-Poster submission Guidelines


The e-poster should be a clear visual presentation of your submitted abstract and a self-explanatory format of information.

  • Abstracts for e-poster presentation should be submitted via the online portal only.
  • Physical presentation at the time of judging will not be entertained.
  • Registration to the conference is mandatory for the primary author.
  • Here are some guidelines to follow while you make one.

Title of the Poster: It is recommended to keep the title of the poster same as in the submitted abstract. Slight modification which does not change the idea of the abstract is allowed.
Poster size and format: Download the power point template for poster presentation from this page (You’ll prepare it once your submission is approved. Initial submission is text only).
Maximum size of the poster allowed is 5MB.
File name is as follows: Poster number – Title (Example A001 – Topic Title)
Note: Poster number will be shared to you by email on confirmation of acceptance

Content of the Poster:

Ensure that your allocated poster number is displayed in the upper left-hand corner of the display
Make sure that the specific sections (such as the background, case description, methods, results or discussion, and conclusions) are easy to locate in the poster.
Try to keep the text easy to read and concise. The poster should be self-explanatory, with a logical layout and be easy to comprehend. Use fonts like Arial, Times New Roman etc which are clear to read for your text. Avoid using fonts that are cursive or informal.

Illustrations: They are the most important part of the poster and will attract the most attention.
Colorful charts and graphs are the easiest to read. Explanatory illustrations should be used instead of text whenever possible.
Use only static images and do not embed any videos or animation in your poster.
Logos – Institutional logos, but not product logos, are allowed on your poster.Choose Photographs with Caution – case photos printed on the poster should protect the privacy of the individual.

Disclosure: Conflict of interest disclosure should be included in your poster.

Judging and awards: Posters will be judged based on the appropriateness of topic, relevance to emergency medicine, manner of representation, methodology used or case description and discussion made and clarity of message conveyed. Each Poster will be judged twice by two different faculty. Judge’s decision is final.

  • Once submitted the posters cannot be amended or corrected.
  • Poster display schedule details will be shared on the website closer to the conference dates.
  • A great poster can make a lasting impression and convey a powerful message.
