Faculty
Dr KPP Abhilash is a Professor and Head of Emergency at Christian Medical College, Vellore. He has more than 180 research publications and has authored 3editions of the book ‘ CMC Vellore Handbook of Emergency Medicine’. He has more than 30 active research projects going on with special interest in promoting undergraduate research.
Dr Arun Ilancheran holds Specialist Fellowships from the College of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, and a Bachelor of Medicine-Bachelor of Surgery with Honours. He is an Adjunct Lecturer at Monash and Notre Dame Universities and is dedicated to improving the education of medical students at public hospitals. Dr Ilancheran is also the lead Tutor for The Emergency Medicine Certificate in India.
Dr Cecil Johnny joined the Alfred Health in 2010 after completing a MBBS and Master of Surgery. He went on to receive a Fellowship with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine in 2017. Dr Johnny has significant surgical experience including general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery and vascular trauma.
Professor Peter Cameron is the Academic Director of The Alfred Emergency and Trauma Centre and Professor of Emergency at Monash University. He is past president of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine and the Australian College for Emergency Medicine. Peter has been influential in the
development of the emergency medicine specialty globally and has consulted and published on trauma and emergency system development.
Dr Panagiota Kakridas is an Emergency Physician and Trauma Specialist at The Alfred Hospital. With a strong commitment to medical education, Dr. Kakridas also serves as a facilitator for The Procedures Course, contributing to the development of clinical skills and the training of future healthcare professionals.
Dr Divya Karna is an Emergency Physician and a Director of Emergency Medicine Training at Alfred Health. She has a passion for medical education, having participated in global health initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region. Divya currently serves as an Examiner for the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.
