EMCON YOUNG FACULTY TALKS
We are identifying young, new, and budding speakers in emergency medicine and promoting them, to become faculty to carry forward teaching in the specialty of emergency medicine.
If you consider yourself to be a good speaker and have never spoken at any conference before, you can apply for the Young Faculty competitive session at EMCON 2024 – Chennai, scheduled between 7th – 9th November 2024.
Process:
All applicants will be initially screened for eligibility by their CVs, proposal forms and a video assessment. Finalists will get to deliver their lectures live (F2F) to a panel of judges, on the morning of the conference day, prior to the scientific sessions. All young faculty speakers will be judged on their presentation topic, slide content, delivery of lecture, emphasis of learning points, language, and leadership skills. A score will be allocated to each speaker and a ranking list generated.
Certification:
All applicants will get a certificate of participation. The top three speakers will get EMCON certificate of recognition, a gift and will be considered for delivering a lecture at next EMCON Conference.
Eligibility:
Doctors
Must be a resident/trainee/doctor actively working in emergency medicine or emergency care department.
Must not have delivered any type of lecture in any conference before. Research presentations are an exception.
Paramedics
Must be an ED paramedic actively working in emergency medicine or emergency care department’s ambulance at any hospital.
Must not have delivered any type of lecture in any conference before. Research presentations are an exception.
Nurses
Must be a nurse actively working in emergency medicine or emergency care department.
Must not have delivered any type of lecture in any conference before. Research presentations are an exception.
How to apply:
- Send your CV, photograph, and a word document (maximum 200 words) with the title and short summary of your proposed lecture to youngfacultytalkemcon2024@gmail.com
- You will receive a confirmation if selected for EMCON 2024 young faculty talk.
- All finalists will have to register for the conference as a delegate.
