  • In order to allow smooth functioning of the session & adequate opportunity for all speakers, no additional time will be given.
  • The judges’ decision is final & no further discussions shall be entertained.

Tips for Effective Slide Presentations

  • Communicate Ideas, Not Details
  • Less is better than More – Put the minimum amount of information on the slide to communicate the idea you want.
  • Make It Readable – Your font should be at least 18 points in size for the body & 24 points for the heading. Use no more than 10 lines of text per slide, and avoid color combinations that do not project well, such as red on blue.
  • Graphs & Tables- Graphs communicate ideas more quickly than tables. Photographs may also be effective, but avoid pictures of animals. If you must use a table, only include the pertinent details—not the full table as would be published in an article.

Slide presentations should include the following:

  • 1   Title slide
  • 2   Conflict of Interest disclosures slide – if any
  • If a study is being presented then the following should be included.
  • 3   Slide stating the question or hypothesis to be addressed
  • 4   Slide describing the approach used to address the question
  • 5   “Methods” slide, but do not include details about the method unless your presentation is on the method
  • 6   Research results slides
  • 7   Conclusions of study slide

Template for oral presentation can be downloaded from the website
Last date for submission of presentation is 6th November 2024 – website www.emcon.in
